Community Outreach Programs

This year marks our 4th Annual Christmas Outreach program. With cooperation of the community, children in need are identified and selected for the program. Donations of toys can be brought to the lobby of SPD.

The Summerville Police Department’s Explorer Program was established in 1992 to provide a positive setting for young people to interact with law enforcement officers, further their education, encourage their participation in rewarding and productive service activities and possibly interest them in a law enforcement career.

Join us for a coffee during one of our Coffee with a Cop  events and take the opportunity to discuss any community concerns you may have or just take the time to get to know us.

The purpose of the Summerville Police Department’s Citizens Police Academy is to provide citizens who live or work in the Town of Summerville a deeper understanding of the job knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the modern day law enforcement officer.
